Conditions of entry on the Russian Federation for citizens of Poland

On June 1st 2007, an agreement has been signed between Russian federation and all countries included in EU. POLISH (POLISH passport holders) wishing to obtain a Russian visa (either tourist visa, business visa, transit or private visa single entry, double entry, multiple entries) should fulfill some formalities and provide some important documents to the Russian embassy or consulate in Poland (in Warsawa - Belwederska 49, Warszawa 00-761). A single or double entry visa (tourist) costs for POLISH passport holders is 35 if you do it in the normal period (4-20 days). When applying for a Russian visa, the first step the POLISH citizens has to do is to decide what type of visa one wants / needs to apply for. The type of Russian visa that POLISH will choose is not so much according to the real purpose of the trip (business or tourism) but rather the length of stay and the autonomy POLISH want to have when staying in Russia.

Whatever the final choice is for POLISH passport holders, an official invitation from an agency, a hotel, company or private person in Russia will be necessary to obtain a Russian visa. The vast majority of POLISH traveling in Russia for a period of less than a month will apply for one month tourist visa. In these circumstances, the application is simple and quite straight forward when receiving your Russian voucher.

If you are a POLISH passport holders you can request a official invitation for Russia right now with the Saint-Petersburg based Travel agency. Once you receive the voucher from ANOTHER RUSSIA travel agency, you may apply for your visa to the Russian representatives in Poland (in Warsawa - Belwederska 49, Warszawa 00-761, embassy@rusemb.pl).   • Your POLISH passport with two blank pages (on which will be put the Russian visa). In addition, your passport must be valid at least 6 months after your planned journey.
  • Two recent passport size pictures (35mm x 45mm)??. To prove that the picture is recent, you can ask to stamp the back of the picture (where you did it)
  • 2 copies of filled form for the Russian visa (signed).
  • A travel insurance
  • Your official invitation letter.
  • A copy of your travel insurance coverage during your stay in Russia. (The insurance company must be accredited by the Russian representatives in Poland (in Warsawa - Belwederska 49, Warszawa 00-761, embassy@rusemb.pl(only for citizens of UE)
